Popular rock climbing area with intersecting social trails. Forest communities below include chestnut oak - pitch, white, and Virginia pines / ericad, and birch boulderfields with dead hemlock;Lower face of tall cliff with horizontal ledges varnished by foot traffic to access climbing routes, cliff face itself seems less impacted, possibly due to lack of interest, or climbing features. West facing cliff is dominated by lichens with scattered S2 and S1 birch saplings. Base of cliff is trampled with well worn paths.
